Communications Access Consultants are a national organisation with over 50 years combined experience working with deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind and speech impaired people.

We can offer our knowledge and expertise to equip your organisation with the skills required to improve contact with people who have a disability and communicate with deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind and speech impaired people both over the telephone and face-to-face.

We are the only organisation to offer Text Relay service training (formerly known as RNID Typetalk). This operator service connects people using a Textphone with people using a telephone and enables deaf, deafblind, hard of hearing and speech impaired people access to the telephone network.

We are a centre for CACDP Signature training which leads to an accredited qualification in deaf and deafblind awareness

We offer Textphone / Minicom training both to individuals in their homes and to organisations

We can tailor make deaf, deafblind awareness and communications tactics courses to meet your organisations requirements

We offer disability awareness training, which aims to raise awareness of what is meant by disability and an appreciation of the issues involved.

The RNID estimates there are nine million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK, of whom about 450,000 cannot use a standard telephone.
